After
breakfast in the hotel, early departure to Çanakkale
driving through Thrace, along the Sea of Marmara and
via Saros bay with its breathtaking views of Aegean
Sea and Dardanelles. Then we will sail across the
strait by ferry having a nice panoroma from the
memorials commemorating the World War-I, Gallipoli
battle. After lunch service, proceed to Troy ruins,
home of the famous wooden horse, the place where
legend has it that Paris abducted Helen, the most
beautiful woman in the world, sparked off the Trojan
Wars. Dinner and overnight in Çanakkale. |

The
journey today takes you through the towns lining
Turkey’s scenic Aegean coast to ancient Pergamum,
the city once ruled by Alexander the Great where you
can visit the world’s first health complex, the
remarkable Asclepion, as well as the ancient temples
crowning its Acropolis. After lunch, you will visit
Sardis, once the wealthiest city in the ancient world,
with its vast Temple of Artemis, ancient synagogue and
handsome Roman Gymnasium. Dinner and overnight in
Kusadasi. |

After
the breakfast, drive to the city-state of Ephesus, the
most extensive ancient city ever uncovered, where you
can stroll the marble-paved streets of the world’s
great archaeological wonder, as well as visit St.
John’s Basilica and the house where the Virgin Mary
spent her last days. You also visit Archaeological
Museum in the same area. After lunch, we will proceed
to Pamukkale where cascading water hot springs flow
into limestone basins. Here you can also visit the
Roman baths and theater of ancient Hierapolis. Dinner
and overnight in Pamukkale. |

Before
proceeding to Antalya, we will visit the ancient city
of Aphrodisias, dedicated to goddess of love, includes
the remains of one of the finest ancient stadiums ever
built, as well as sights like the mysterious odeum.After
the lunch, the journey will take you through the
countryside studded with lakes to the foot of the
Taurus Mountains, where you will enjoy a unique visit
with a nomadic tribe. A late afternoon arrival in
Antalya, on the shores of the Mediterranean, dinner
and overnight in Antalya. |

After
the breakfast, a drive through the Taurus Mountains to
Central Anatolia brings you to Turkey’s oldest city,
Konya, where you can visit the Mevlana Museum and
Slender Minaret Medrese to discover the origin of the
spinning, trance-like dance that gave rise to the
famous Whirling Dervishes. In the early evening, you
will arrive at Nevsehir. Dinner and overnight in
Cappadocia. |

The
chimney-like rock formations around Cappadocia are as
remarkable as
the fantastic underground cities you will find
there, dug during the 7th century
as deep as 8 stories. Highlights include Göreme’s
Byzantine Churches,
carved into cliffs, the hidden valley of Zelve
and the intricate underground
city of Kaymakli with its wine cellars, stables
and tombs. Then we will visit
Avanos on Kizilirmak river where the
distinctive red clay has kept celebrated
potters in business for a thousand year. Dinner

After
breakfast drive to Ankara, modern Turkey’s capital,
where you will
visit Anatolian Civilizations Museum and Atatürk’s
Mausoleum. After lunch,
transfer to airport for a p.m. domestic flight
to Istanbul. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel or
connect to international flight.
