Day - 1 Istanbul

On your arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day - 2 Istanbul
Highlights today include the ancient Hebrew Gezer calender in the Archaeological Museum, Topkapı Palace, and Galata, home to the Neve Shalom Synagogue. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day - 3 Istanbul
Today you will visit the synagogues of Balat, including the 15th century Akrida synagogue, as well as the synagogue and Jewesh cemeteries at Kuzguncuk and Uskudar. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day - 4 Istanbul
Featured sights today include the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia and the Mosque of Suleyman the Magnificient, as well as Grand Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul.
Day - 5 Bursa
Former capital of the Ottoman Empire, Bursa was also home to a large Jewish community. Highlights include visits to Bursa’s Gerush and Mayor synagogues. Dinner and overnight in Bursa.
Day - 6 Izmir
En route to İzmir, you will visit Thyatira, where Judaism was practiced by the ancients and the Jewish community thrived. Dinner and overnight in İzmir.
Day - 7 Izmir
The ruins of a synagogue uncovered here date back to 220 BC – today, İzmir is still home to one of Turkey’s largest Jewish communities. After visiting Beth Israel and Senora synagogues, you will visit Sardis, home to the ruins of one of the most ancient and largest synagogues of antiquity. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.
Day - 8 Kuşadası
The world’s most compelling ancient site, the Greco-Roman city state of Ephesus also boasts Hebrew signs and symbols among its ruins. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi.
Day - 9 Kuşadası
The ancient Ionian cities of Priene and Miletos were ruled over Persians, Romans and Byzantines. Today, their ruins are haunting, evocative and intriguing – some adorned with Hebrew script. Dinner and overnight in Kusadası.
Day - 10 Pamukkale
Signs in Hebrew and menorahs carved into stone attest to the presence of Jews in both ancient Aphrodisias and Hierapolis both Roman cities. In between lie the fantastic limestone formations and warm mineral springs of Pamukkale. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.
Day - 11 Izmir
In ancient Laodicia, the flourishing Jewish colony annually sent gold to Jerusalem. After visiting its ruins, you will continue on to İzmir (taking in the synagogues of Tyre along the way) to explore the remains of the ancient synagogue dating from 220 BC. Dinner and overnight in Izmir.
Day - 12 Izmir, İstanbul
Take a short domestic flight to Istanbul for your onward flight home. End of services...
